FaithStyle Your Habits
Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress ~1 Timothy 4:15
Are you tired of struggling with the same bad habit? Or do you feel powerless to change the rhythm or pace of life no matter what you do?
This has been my journey too. As a single mom for the past 16 years, I never felt like I had enough margin to create the life I wanted—never enough time, money, or energy. Even so, I did the best I could, one choice at a time. And you know what? It works! And it can work for you too.
In fact, I learned how to develop habits and practices through this process that not only created a better way of life but equipped me to bounce back quicker when life got tough.
It’s pretty clear that habits set the stage for a well-lived life. Bad habits will break you while good habits make you. So I put these together because I believe small choices grounded in faith make a way for a big and beautiful faith-styled life.
To get started we need to adopt a builders mindset. This means start with the end in mind (which I will help you do) and build one habit at a time.
FaithStyle Habits and Practices:
- Discernment – practice critical awareness
- Forgiveness– practice love
- Intention -practice focus
- Essentialism– practice pruning
- Fruitfulness– practice diligence
- Boundaries – practice authenticity
- Prayer – practice faith
Keep in mind, these habits don’t come easy; they take work, and change doesn’t happen overnight; it takes practice. But the time you put in will prove worthwhile. You will feel stronger, more grounded, and hold a deeper confidence in who God created you to be.
I hope you will join me on this journey. It’s sure to be a good ride.
Be bold. Be brave. Be free.
