Are you stuck in the crave cycle?

If you’ve struggled to break a habit or change a behavior despite knowing all the right things to do but still can’t seem to do them, you are in good company. It’s the human condition that affects us all.

Statistics confirm that the success rate of changing a habit is low. We develop patterns and routines that reinforce the automatic nature of habit which is why it’s so hard to change habitual behavior without some significant mental effort.

But willpower only gets us so far. Beyond The Craving is a place for people who are pursuing a better quality of life. Who desire to be more present, more purposeful, and more of who God created you to be. Often times this means cleaning up our habits. Especially if they are built on the premise of finding comfort from our discomfort.

Please know, you’re not alone. This battle with temptation goes all the way back to Adam and Eve and the first bite of the apple.

Because we are human, the tug of temptation is inevitable. But through Jesus, what’s old can become new (see 2 Cor. 5:17).

My hope is to offer a new perspective on a very common struggle with bad habits, anxiety, and addiction.

Addiction can sometimes act as a spectrum disorder that starts with bad habits and unmanaged anxiety. We seek pleasure, settle for comfort, and avoid pain at all costs. These coping strategies, if not challenged and changed, will cause us and those we love a lot of pain.

In all this I’ve learned one hard lesson: Some of us change and some of us don’t. But it’s worth a try. Worth a shot. Worth the effort.

This is why I’m here and why I created this place for those who want to try for change. Together we will unpack the mindsets and motivations keeping you stuck in a cycle of defeat while growing stronger in  spiritual principles and practices that foster true and lasting transformation.

Freedom is yours and it’s worth the fight. All it takes is one brave step in the right direction.

You’ve got this! Make a brave choice today and experience more freedom tomorrow.

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you. (Isaiah 43:2)

  • What’s the ONE habit you want to change?
  • How has it helped you? And how has it hurt you?
  • What scares you the most about changing or ditching it altogether?

Prayer is just a conversation with God. Talk to Him about what you learned and what you need from Him today.

Be bold. Be brave. Be free.
